Alaska National Map Implementation

The USGS Alaska Science Center (ASC) operates and maintains the Alaska Geographic Data Clearinghouse (AGDC) on behalf of its member agencies and is the primary repository and access point for the vast majority of the Alaska geospatial data holders. This task converts the AGDC Clearinghouse database structure and user interface to The National Map (TNM) defined format and standards, thus ensuring that many of the data holdings of the AGDC become incorporated into or are accessible by TNM portal. Inventory and conversion of the data will continue to revolve around the State of Alaska as a whole, utilizing 'best available data' for the eight base data layers. This activity will also include, when applicable, those cities identified for the Urban Areas homeland security effort.
